In my free course I share how to setup online business and ways to make money online. As I show path to online entrepreneurship, many readers come up with excuses on why they are not taking the route to entrepreneurship. Let me share those common excuses and why I think those excuses are nothing but imaginations of feeble mind.
1. I need to be big to make big money
This is one of the most common reason I get i.e. I need to be big to make big money online. They think that they cannot start small but can only start an online business if they have truck load of money in their bank account.
I ask them a related question in response to the feedback which is – Why you were born as baby and not as a man, you could have been born as a man directly, isn’t it?
The real idea is to know how to make money online and then excel the method and take it to the next level. So instead of having the excuse of starting big make sure you know what works and what not. Try to make your first hundred dollars online before you can add few more zeros to it.
2. I need money ASAP
When they hear the term setting business online many readers think that setting up a business would mean work for few years before making any decent income online. I completely disagree on this. If you want money ASAP, online is your best bet.
There are multiple ways to make money online right at this moment and it is just that you need to know how you can grab the opportunity.
3. I cannot compete with established players
The best thing about online business is actually the opposite. Anyone can compete with anybody. You can compete very easily with the so called established players. Let me explain it with an example.
Let us say you are looking to sell Laptops. The offline model would require you an upfront cost of getting a shop in a shopping mall as well as the cost to become the re-seller of the preferred laptop brands in your locality. Once you are done with the setup you can think about competing with the well established laptop sellers in the area. Now consider selling it online. You don’t even need a website and you can create your store online with few clicks using Amazon’s product line and start selling laptops in few minutes.
In which case you are more comfortable competing with well established players? Isn’t the answer pretty obvious?
4. I am not able to find the right persons to work WITH me
Note the excuse is not work FOR me but work WITH me. This excuse is used by entrepreneurs who don’t want to hire people to get the job done but instead offer partnership in return to get it done. The biggest problem with such an idea of finding partners is confidence. If you are not confident about your own idea and is not willing to hire to get it done why others would partner with you and work on your idea to get it done for you.
Let’s say you have an idea about some XYZ product but you are technically not very sound on getting it online. You want to team up with other people who can get it developed for you. Instead of teaming up with somebody why not hire someone to get that done.
5. I work but with NO Results
I work a lot on my website but with no results. Majority of time the no results people are those who are not willing to educate themselves or invest in themselves. The most astonishing email in this category of excuses was -
I am doing lot of link exchanges with the needed anchor text for last 6 months now but I am not able to rank for any of my keywords.
The biggest problem with these types of people is they think they know everything and this makes them hesitant to invest in their own education. They are not ready to accept that SEO has changed over the years. You could easily out rank other sites doing link exchanges in 2005 but not in 2011.
I would like to add that I invest in lot in online marketing programs to get myself educated. The most recent one was Jobcrsuher Program.
